Pumpkin patches, haunted houses & dirty windows

It seems we are finally on the verge of sub-100° days, which hopefully means the end to summer. With the cooler temperatures comes the beginning of the holiday season and all of the wonderful outdoor events.

This week’s edition is very event focused, so take advantage and go enjoy the coming cooler weather.

Loop 101 weekend closure

The past two weekends have been rough with closures on the Loop 101 in Arrowhead Ranch. This weekend will see another closure, but not here in Arrowhead.

The following closures in the West Valley will be happening for pavement maintenance

• Northbound Loop 101 will be closed between Interstate 10 (Papago Freeway) and Thunderbird Road from 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12. The following ramps also will be closed:

  • The east- and westbound I-10 ramps to northbound Loop 101

• Southbound Loop 101 will be closed between Thunderbird Road and I-10 from 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, to 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13. The following ramps also will be closed:

  • The southbound Loop 101 ramps to east- and westbound I-10

It’s Pumpkin Patch Season!

North Italia is OPEN!

The wait is over, and one of the most anticipated restaurant openings in Arrowhead Ranch is here! North Italia, a Sam Fox Concepts restaurant, is part of the brand new Park at 83 dining complex which will also feature Blanco Cocina & Cantina and Postino’s Wine Cafe. (link & map)

Sizzle Korean BBQ to open soon

Located on the south side of the main entrance to the Arrowhead Towne Center, Sizzle is set to open their newest location. An exact date has not been announced but their social media this week teased an opening ‘very soon.’ (link & map)

30th Annual Front Porch Festival in the Historic Downtown Glendale

Many of the shops and eateries have special activities planned for the day, including artisan demonstrations, make & take crafts, delicious treats and so much more. Additional activities include the Annual Scarecrow Stroll, Themed Charm Drop, pop up shops, and several special guests. (link & map)

Squid Ink Sushi is hosting an outdoor market on Saturday October 12th from 9-12pm (map)
