Will Stadium Point ever be built?
It appears the $510 million mixed-use development planned on 17 acres as a live, work, play project for the Peoria Sports Complex, which is behind schedule, may be in doubt of getting built at all. This ambitious project, which will be built next to the Peoria Sports Complex, where the large parking lot is now, has been under contract with the developer for over four years. The ground breaking was to take place in April, but the developer has exercised time extensions in its agreement with the City of Peoria. You can learn more in this article, which is behind a paywall. You can see the Cityās website which has details of what the project is to entail.

What famous Sinagua Native American Cliff dwelling is located in the Verde Valley |
Last weekās trivia question was, āWhich set of brothers were the first to take motion pictures at the Grand Canyon?ā The correct answer: Emery & Ellsworth Kolb.
Photographers Emery and Ellsworth Kolb helped turn the Grand Canyon into a national icon. They built Kolb Studio, one of the earliest tourist destinations on the South Rim. The brothers began to take photographs of the mule riders from a small toll shack on the Bright Angel Trail. The toll shack would later become today's five story home, theater and photo studio built right on the edge of the canyon! Warmer temperatures are here, and with that comes more activity from local wildlife, which can mean encountering one of Arizonaās most famous residentsā¦the rattlesnake.
This is my friend Chris Spalding, and after finding a rattlesnake in his front yard in 2019, he became fascinated with these creatures, and was soon taking lessons in how to handle them. Word spread quick that he was the go to solution when you needed help removing a snake from your property.
Chris is licensed for snake relocation with the Arizona Game & Fish, so if you have the need, give him a call at (602) 312-7237 or visit RattlesnakeDefense.com

Eta Aquarids meteor shower
The Eta Aquariid meteor shower is active through May 28 and its peak is May 5-6.
The best time to see a meteor shower is generally between midnight and 5 a.m. local time, when the sky is darkest, the radiant is higher and the meteors are most active.
For the Eta Aquariids specifically in Arizona, youāll want to head outside around 3 a.m. to 5 a.m., facing east where the constellation Aquarius rises. Thatās when youāll have the best chance of spotting these fast, bright meteors streaking across the sky. (link)
