Loop 101 Closure

Westbound Loop 101 will be closed between 19th and 51st avenues starting at 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, and ending at 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28. The following ramps will also be closed:

The north- and southbound I-17 ramps to westbound Loop 101

The westbound Loop 101 on-ramps at 7th Street and 7th Avenue

Detour: Drivers can use westbound Union Hills Drive or the westbound frontage road (Beardsley Road). Drivers on I-17 may also use Bell or Deer Valley roads or Union Hills Drive to reach destinations west of I-17.

Note: Side streets will be open to local traffic only. Detouring traffic should not travel into neighborhoods.

Time for leaf peeping

Fall is in full swing in northern Arizona and that means pretty colorful leaves in trees!!

Voting Details

November 5th is election day, but not everyone wants to go to the polls that day.

EARLY & MAIL IN BALLOTS: If you want an early ballot, today (October 25th) is your last day to request a ballot. If you do have an early ballot, you must mail it by October 29th. (link)

Michelin Star Chef coming to VAI Resort

VAI Resort announced this week that Michelin Star Chef José Andrés will be opening a restaurant at the new resort called Bar Mar. This will be Chef Andrés first concept in Arizona. (link)

AZ Pizza Co is opening a new location at 75th Avenue & Bell Road, in the old Teriyaki Madness location next to Cafe Rio.
