City of Peoria 67th Avenue Improvements

The City of Peoria is beginning improvements & expansion of 67th Avenue between Pinnacle Peak Road and Happy Valley Road. The project will begin soon and will continue through Spring 2025. (link)

Safeway to open new location at The Trailhead

Safeway is set to open it’s new location at The Trailhead, at 83rd Avenue & Happy Valley Road. The City of Peoria will be hosting a ribbon cutting event on 10/18 at 9am. (link & map)

• The Safeway Foundation will award more than a dozen nearby schools and nonprofits more than $100,000 in grants.
• The community is invited to attend and sample delicious foods along with chances to win prizes and gift cards!
• FREE bags of groceries will be given out to the first 200 hundred shoppers following the 9 am ribbon cutting.

If you go to the ribbon cutting, or just shop at this Safeway, keep an eye out for a handsome young man named Tyler. He’s my son and this is his first job. 😎 🙏🏻

Blanco Cocina + Cantina is OPEN!

The wait is over, and another one of the most anticipated restaurant openings in Arrowhead Ranch is here! Blanco Cocina + Cantina, a Sam Fox Concepts restaurant, is part of the brand new Park at 83 dining complex which will also features North Italia and Postino’s Wine Cafe. (link & map)

Northern Arizona Christmas Experiences

You’re probably just trying to get through Halloween, who has thought about Christmas & the holidays yet? There are two Christmas themed experiences, The North Pole Experience in Flagstaff and the Polar Express Train Ride in Williams.

Lion Cubs make debut at Phoenix Zoo

Azizi & Jasairi, the new lion cubs, are now a part of the Predator Passage lion habitat at the Phoenix Zoo. (link)

Harvest Supermoon

Last night was the largest supermoon of the year. We took the opportunity to have dinner in Cave Creek at El Encanto and made a drive to Barlett Lake and enjoy the full moon. It is supposed to be clear again tonight, so take a moment to be outside & enjoy a nearly full moon. Moonrise is at 6:38pm.
